Within the window there is a daily-changing “deal of the day” (오늘의 특가): a brand that is not on today’s list is often on tomorrow’s. This is the practical barrier: the Korean site needs a Korean mobile number for identity verification, and payment has to go through a Korean-issued credit card. It is not a language problem — without Korean identity you cannot complete checkout. Across the eight, Global comes to ₱12,976 and Korea’s own site to ₱7,430 — a gap of ₱5,546, about 43%. Add the 6% service fee back and the Korean route is ₱7,876, still ₱5,100 (about 39%) cheaper, before forwarding. Per item the gap runs from 12% to 57%, and the deeper the discount, the wider the two sides get — Anua’s PDRN serum is 53% off on the Korean site, Global did not follow, and that one item differs by ₱1,640.
And there is a difference that is not about price: what you can buy at all. Of the 10 picks, HOLIKA HOLIKA’s Sanrio eyeshadow and JUNG SAEM MOOL’s limited-edition cushion are not listed on Global. Korea-only items, limited sets and 1+1 bundles usually are not — if you want them, the Korean site is the only place.
So which one?
Buying one or two things, and landing just over Global’s free-shipping threshold — Global saves you the forwarding and the service fee and may well come out ahead. But that window is narrow: past that line the unit-price gap outruns the shipping it saves.
Buying several things in a sale, or after Korea-only sets — use the Korean site with proxy shopping. The unit price is lower to begin with, and forwarding is shared out: you pay the first pound once, so the more you consolidate, the less each item carries. One caveat specific to the Philippines, covered in section V: a single shipment is capped at 1 kg of assorted cosmetics, so a large haul wants splitting across more than one shipment rather than piling into one.

III. Autumn colour is this round’s focus
Olive Young has weighted this sale towards colour cosmetics, and the reason is plain in its own numbers: last September, searches for “colour makeup” (색조) on its site rose 20% month on month, and the narrower terms rose far more — autumn warm palettes (가을웜 팔레트) +379%, autumn lip (가을립) +344%, autumn blush (가을 블러셔) +327%.
Korean shoppers swap their whole colour story the moment autumn arrives, and those products are at their cheapest during the sale. The autumn colour items Olive Young itself named are peripera (페리페라) rose tints, NAMING (네이밍) pencil liner, OFRA Cosmetics (오프라 코스메틱) highlighter and the VDL cushion set (쿠션 기획세트).
The wellness side is broad too, with magnesium (바이오렉트 마그네슘), low-molecular collagen (비비랩 저분자 콜라겐), protein shakes (올더베러 단백질 쉐이크) and a Mediterranean oil cleanse drink (푸드올로지 지중해 오일만 클렌즈) all named. This is the Sanrio version, with My Melody and Kuromi on the case and pressed into the pan itself. Beyond the eyeshadow the range now includes the new Gel Tail texture plus Piece Beam and Piece Balm. At this price it is worth taking several shades.

V. Before you order: what can’t be shipped to the Philippines?
The thing most likely to go wrong in a sale is not picking the wrong product — it is buying something that cannot be shipped. Beauty is the category the restricted list catches most often. All five items below sit under All Warehouses, so shipping from Korea is no exception.

The one that decides how you shop this sale is “Specific cosmetics”. Beyond the outright bans — anything carrying a flammable label, anything with less than six months of shelf life left — the Philippine list caps what a single shipment may carry: 10 lipsticks, or 1 kg of assorted cosmetics.
